Crop Circle Suite

"This music was inspired by the "Triple Julia Set" crop circle photo taken by Steven Alexander. Found on July 29, 1996 at Windmill Hill, England this crop circle measured over 1,000 feet in diameter and consisted of 194 circles! Some crop circles have been proven a hoax but many are believed to be a genuine phenomena. Whatever their purpose, they are beautiful works of art and continue to appear every spring in England and around the world."

An engineering company was asked to create this design. They replied that just to survey the area to place the stakes required for mapping the design would take up to eleven days on the ground, at a cost of over $5,000. No holes were evident at Windmill Hill, nor damage to the plants. What's more, given the four hours of darkness required to achieve such an endeavour would have required a circle to be referenced, mapped, laid and then constructed with anomalous central features every 56 seconds.*
